Jack was placed with Northern Care due to his criminal behaviour and following admission he expressed a desire to join the army.

After settling in to the structures and routines of his new placement, staff arranged for him to attend a 14 week army preparation course in Preston. Jack thoroughly enjoyed the course and, after successfully completing it, he attended a presentation evening where he received a certificate, with his proud family watching.

'Before I started this course I was getting in to trouble with the police because I was mixing with the wrong people but since being placed with Northern Care and started this course I haven't been in trouble. I am in a better frame of mind and I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the staff team for their time, commitment and especially patience in helping to encourage me to complete a course I never thought I would be able to do.'
