A high emphasis is placed on a “good parenting” model of care with a holistic approach and the home has access to therapeutic assessment and ongoing services by external referral. High staffing ratios are available to enable a positive “healing therapeutic” environment. The ethos of the home is one in which young women are afforded the time, space and attention to address complex issues, to enable recovery, personal development and more independent living as a long-term objective. The building itself is indistinguishable from other homes in the neighbourhood.
