Challenging Behaviour - Girls aged 10-17
Blackpool, Lancashire

No. 19

No.19 in Blackpool, Lancashire is a 4-bedded home for girls aged 10-17. A high emphasis is placed on a “good parenting” model of care with a holistic approach and the home has access to therapeutic assessment and ongoing services by external referral. High staffing ratios are available to enable a positive “healing therapeutic” environment. The ethos of the home is one in which young women are afforded the time, space and attention to address complex issues, to enable recovery, personal development and more independent living as a long-term objective. The building itself is indistinguishable from other homes in the neighbourhood. It sits compatibly within the community and young people are encouraged and enabled to play a full part in community life. No.19 is within a 15 minute walk of Blackpool town centre.
