Text - Harmful Sexual Behaviour

Client Group
A specialist service working exclusively with young men who display sexually harmful behaviour and or sexually offend, which is focused on outcomes.

The Progressions Initiative brings together a partnership between northerncare and G-MAP Services Limited to offer the very best in care, education and therapy (Ofsted and DCSFregistered).

Aims
To keep everyone safe throughout the process of helping young men make sense of, and come to terms, with past experiences and behaviours.

Lead the way towards positive outcomes - staying safe, keeping others safe, being accountable, being healthy physically, mentally and emotionally and in particular, learning to value and respect the sexual well being of self and others.

Provide a 'Holistic Approach' to afford the very best opportunities for our young men to gradually return to the community armed with the necessary skills, strategies and strengths to make a positive, safe and successful transition.

To promote the process of reunification, if deemed appropriate.

Working Together: northerncare and G-MAP Services Limited

Every young person follows an individual therapeutic programme designed by G-MAP therapists. These programmes focus on developing and nurturing intrinsic values, addressing past, present and future issues and encouraging accountability, thereby identifying management strategies to use as they undertake their reduced supervision programmes now, and for when they return to live in the community.

The ethos of working together is promoted /developed by both agencies providing a pathway for strategies identified within therapy to permeate the care and academic components of each placement.
