northerncare Young People Row the Thames

northerncare held its annual rowing regatta in partnership with the Upper Thames Rowing Club in Henley-on-Thames, providing children and young people with the opportunity to row the historic course and meet some world champion athletes.

Full professional coaching, together with on water sessions were provided at the Rowing Camp, which was managed and delivered by members of the Upper Thames Rowing Club. Following the course, the children and young people were shown around the Leander Rowing Club in Henley by Richard Egington and Debbie Flood, during a question and answer session with the 2008 Olympic medalists.
