Park View

Parkview

As its name suggests, Park View is located close to a large and well-kept public park, which the boys in our care often use for football and other outdoor games. The home itself has been recently renovated to provide accommodation and education facilities for up to six boys. Each room has a wash basin and most are en suite.

The home is bright and welcoming, having a large communal living room for relaxing. There are many in-house pursuits that our enthusiastic staff team encourages, including learning to play instruments, playing games and even delving into the workings of computers.



Pennsylvania House

Pennsylvania House

Located in a residential area of Blackpool, Pennsylvania House is a large, detached home accommodating 6 young men. Education is delivered on-site by qualified teachers, although strong links have been formed with the local college, where residents have also gained vocational qualifications.


Newfields
Challenging Behaviour - Boys aged 11-17
Bolton, Greater Manchester


Pennsylvania House

Located in the small village of Bromley Cross in Bolton, Newfields is a large, 6-bedded semi-detached 1920s red brick building. The home can accommodate 11-17 year old young men with challenging behaviours who are supported by a dedicated and enthusiastic staff team. Education is provided on-site by a qualified teacher and assistant teacher. The home places great emphasis on the inclusion of health and leisure activities as part of the daily routine to promote confidence building and self-esteem.



Piers House
Challenging Behaviour - Boys aged 11-16
Blackpool, Lancashire


Piers House

Located in a residential area of Blackpool, Piers House is able to accommodate 6 young men. In a separate building in the grounds of the home, the boys have access to an education suite and full-time, qualified teacher. This building also houses the on-site leisure facilities, which include a weights gym, pool table and table tennis table.



Applegate
Challenging Behaviour - Boys aged 11-17
Colne, Lancashire

Applegate

Applegate is located in a residential area close to Colne town centre. It comprises of 2 Victorian terraces made into one spacious and comfortable home which is able to offer accommodation to 6 boys between the ages of 11 and 17 years old. The property has on-site education delivered by enthusiastic teachers and a separate IT suite and library. Applegate has the added advantage of having qualified outdoor instructors on-site who contribute to the 24 hour curriculum.



The Nook
Challenging Behaviour - Boys aged 8-13
Colne, Lancashire


The Nook

Located in two and a half acres of Lancashire countryside, The Nook is a homely home and has plenty of space and resources to offer a range of recreational activities. A flood-lit ball court is available for football, basketball or tennis. There is also an array of outdoors education equipment for evening and weekend enjoyment.



The Birches
Challenging Behaviour - Boys aged 11-17
Poulton-Le-Fylde, Lancashire

The Birches

Located in a residential area of Poulton-le-Fylde near Blackpool, The Birches is an impressive detached home able to accommodate 6 young men. Education is delivered on-site by a qualified teacher, who also uses his outdoor pursuits qualification to engage the boys in a range of outdoor activities. There are many opportunities to take part in activities, get involved with local clubs, or relax in the home.


Mill House
Challenging Behaviour - Boys aged 11-17
Preston, Lancashire

Millhouse

Mill House is situated amongst the backdrop of open fields with a picturesque and tranquil stream running alongside the home creating a relaxing, warm environment within which six young people can feel safe and secure. We have a well-equipped classroom and fully qualified teachers to enable young people to fulfil their education potential.



Primrose Cottage
Challenging Behaviour - Girls aged 11-17

Primrose Cottage

Primrose Cottage is a large detached property with a spacious garden area located in a residential area near to Bury town centre. It can offer residence to 6 girls in a safe and supportive environment. Education is delivered by qualified and dedicated staff offering the girls opportunities to reach their full potential. northerncare offers both academic and vocational studies. The home has developed excellent relationships with the local police who contribute enormously to the safety of the young women.



West Tarn
Assessments - Boys aged 11-17

West Tarn

West Tarn is an assessment centre located in a residential area of Blackpool. It is structured in a unique way to offer residence to 4 young men suffering crisis and trauma. The centre practises a holistic approach where indoor and adventurous outdoor activities play a significant role. The methods used help develop trust, interaction and teamwork skills at a time when a young person needs reassurance and support. Our clinical psychologist oversees a full assessment of each young man placed in this home.




Oakwood
Assessments - Boys aged 11-17
Preston, Lancashire

Oakwood

Oakwood is an assessment centre located outside the centre of Preston, Lancashire. It is structured in a unique way to offer residence to 4 young men suffering crisis and trauma. This spacious and well equipped home offers comfort and boundaries for young people whose life is in turmoil. Our centres provide not only an invaluable psychological assessment and report providing an insight into the nature of the young person’s difficulties but also an academic report analysing his educational history and attainments and from this the most suitable follow on placement can be found. Our clinical psychologist oversees a full assessment of each young man placed in this home.

Challenging Behaviour - Girls aged 10-17
Blackpool, Lancashire

No. 19

No.19 in Blackpool, Lancashire is a 4-bedded home for girls aged 10-17. A high emphasis is placed on a “good parenting” model of care with a holistic approach and the home has access to therapeutic assessment and ongoing services by external referral. High staffing ratios are available to enable a positive “healing therapeutic” environment. The ethos of the home is one in which young women are afforded the time, space and attention to address complex issues, to enable recovery, personal development and more independent living as a long-term objective. The building itself is indistinguishable from other homes in the neighbourhood. It sits compatibly within the community and young people are encouraged and enabled to play a full part in community life. No.19 is within a 15 minute walk of Blackpool town centre.


Manchester House
Harmful Sexual Behaviour - Boys aged 14-19,
Greater Manchester

Manchester House

Located in a quiet residential area of Greater Manchester, Manchester House is a large, but unassuming property with a separate education block in private grounds. Our teachers deliver a broad range of National Curriculum subjects alongside the delivery of key life skills, to prepare the young men for independence. Our home accommodates up to six young men in comfortable surroundings, where the emphasis is placed on personal development. The young men have access to therapy for their harmful sexual behaviour.
