Who We Care For

northerncare look after children and young people aged 5-18 years old upon admission in the care of Local Authorities.

These children may:

  • be suffering from crisis or trauma
  • have mild to moderate learning difficulties
  • have emotional, social and/or behavioural difficulties
  • display challenging behaviours
  • have experienced multiple placement breakdown

Range of Services

The majority of our 39 homes are 4 or 6 bedded with on-site DCSF registered education, although we are able to offer more intensive support and therapeutic input in our 3 bedded homes. Additionally, a number of our homes are able to offer semi-supported living.

Our homes offer:

  • Individualised care and education packages
  • Short, medium or long-term placements
  • Emergency and planned admissions
  • Assessment services from our own qualified Consultant Clinical and Forensics Psychologist and Cognitive Psychotherapist
